Mark N. Hochman, DDS
Dr. Hochman received his dental degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Following graduation, he joined the Nassau County Medical Center as a general practice dental resident and was ultimately appointed chief of the residency program. Dr. Hochman obtained his specialty certificate in periodontics at the New York University College of Dentistry. He received advanced training in implant dentistry at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and a postdoctoral degree in orthodontics from NYUCD. He is one of the very few practitioners in the United States to hold specialty certificates in both orthodontics and periodontics.
He is also the inventor of an advanced computer-controlled local anesthetic delivery system and is currently the director of clinical affairs and a consultant for a medical technology company. His research has been published in numerous journals and he has written articles on several topics, including utilizing implants for orthodontic anchorage and pain-free local anesthesia.
